Its been 4 years since a meteorite hit Perdido Beach and everyone disappeared. Everyone over the age of 15 disappeared and the kids of Perdido Beach and Coyote Academy had to fend for themselves. Animals started to mutate and kids began to develop strange powers like super speed and the ability to shoot lasers out of their hands. 4 years.

But now, 4 years after the 'F.A.Y.Z (fallout alley youth zone)' meteors with alien viruses are hitting the earth causing a global 'FAYZ'. People are starting to develop physical changes and chaos is on the horizon. But in total chaos some must step up to be the hero and conquer the monsters. But will ex-fayz soldier Dekka Talent and her 'sidekick' Armo, 17 year old Shade Darby and her sidekick Hugo 'Cruz' Martino Rojas be enough to conquer the monstrosities the world has cultivated?

In my opinion I think that monster is a great, thrilling and action-packed book. Although it may cover some difficult topics like drugs, rape and violence from minors, i think the book can be great for people over the age of 14.
