Review of Good Girl, Bad blood:
Sequel to Holly Jackson’s gripping thriller - A Good Girls Guide to Murder - Good Girl, Bad Blood is equally gripping and follows the same old town of Little Kilton. Pip is still running a podcast about the events in the previous book where she studies a case closed by the police, but still consuming the town. Whilst she reviews the trial of one of the people convicted in the murder, her friend Connor comes running when he finds out his brother is missing. At first, Pip is very reluctant as the last time she investigated a case, her dog was murdered and got many death threats from the killer. So Pip comforts Connor that his brother will probably turn up within a few days. But when the first day passes, with no note or contact from Connors brother, she takes the case to the police. Unfortunately, the police of Little Kilton view the case as an un - prioritized case. She then decides to take matters into her own hands and comforts her parents with the promise that if things start getting out of hand, she will back out. But when she finds unwavering evidence of Connors brother being kidnapped or being tempted to disappear, she decides to break her promise.
Recommendations:
The book mentions drugs, rape and other explicit content, so i would recommend this book to teenagers and above. But although the explicit content is a deterrent, the book itself is thrilling and will keep whoever reads it, reading till the end of the book. I love this book because of the thrill you get when you read it, and the twists and turns of every Holly Jackson book.
